Knowing Different Citation Styles

In academic writing, knowing different citation styles is of great importance. When you are doing a paper for school such as custom essays or a research paper, it will require the use if citation styles more often than not. Depending on your school and professor, the citation style required may be different but the most commonly used citation styles are APA and MLA styles. Citation is important because not citing the work of another person when you use his ideas is equivalent to plagiarism and plagiarism is a grave offense in the academic world. Even if you already know how to cite, brushing up on citation style guidelines is still important since different kinds of documents are cited differently. How you would cite an article from a journal from an article in a newspaper is different.
